Ecole John Stubbs – Late French Immersion Info Session (Grade 6)

Dear Lakewood families,

We will be coming to Lakewood Elementary to speak with the grade 5 students about our John Stubbs’ Late French Immersion program which starts in grade 6; this is the last entry point for any student who is wishing to come into the French Immersion program. One of our late French Immersion teachers and some late immersion students will come to the school to give a 20-minute presentation with some time at the end for some Q&A. We hope to also gauge if students have an interest in coming into it next year. We will be at your child’s school on:

Time: 9:00 – 9:30 am

At the student meeting we will also be sharing information with your students that we request goes home to families (in paper form). Please check out our district information video about the French Immersion program. Our upcoming information evening for families to attend will be on January 22 at École John Stubbs at 6:00 pm and program registration starts this year on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
